Professional Speaker, Coach, Acting Teacher
As a professional actor who lived and worked in Los Angeles for 10 years, I ate, slept, and breathed the craft of Acting and studied every aspect of it to make myself better. This includes the use and training of the voice, presence and the power of stillness onstage, ability to connect immediately with an audience, as well as understanding the arc of a story and how to craft information into a story. I received a scholarship to the PA Governor's School for the Arts in high school. I was one of 30 students out of over 2000 which auditioned, to be awarded a spot. I then earned a B.A. in Theatre from Penn State University in 1995. From there I moved to NYC where I signed with Duva/Flack talent agency, and I began working with a Personal Manager, Jerry Silverhardt. I re-located to Los Angeles, CA where I studied with Arthur Mendoza at the Actors Circle Theater. Mr. Mendoza received his MFA from UCSD, and was the protege of Stella Adler. He trained Oscar winner Benicio del Toro, and countless other working actors. I worked very closely with Arthur for five years studying: Technique, Shakespeare, Scene Study, and Teaching Acting. He directed me in a production of Forty Deuce, which received great reviews in Variety and other industry publications, and I worked professionally in Film, Theatre, Television, Commercials, and Voiceovers. I have trained actors ranging from the ages of 7-29yrs old, and coached high school students applying for College acting programs. My clients were accepted at CMU, NYU, BoCo, CCR, Syracuse, and other top programs. Whether it's learning the basics, fine tuning an audition piece, or getting to deep work on the actor's instrument I am more than capable of teaching in all of these modalities.
